Utility man Edu Camavinga has only been a Real Madrid player for two years, but is already renewing his contract. According to Marca, the Frenchman will soon cost one billion euros.
Camavinga signs contract worth one billion euros
Camavinga made the switch from Rennes to Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 for more than thirty million euros. The club management sees a great future in him, as evidenced by this new contract, which includes a lump sum payment of no less than one billion euros. Camavinga can also look forward to a substantial salary increase. The Frenchman will soon sign a contract until 2028.
Real Madrid are also in the process of renewing the contracts of Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr. and Eder Militao. The club even seems to be around with those players, but waiting with the announcement until sometime this summer. Then the extension of Camavinga will also be confirmed. Real Madrid recently announced that Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will stay on board.
Stories of Hakimi’s Madrid return has already begun
Should Real Madrid still be looking for a right back, Achraf Hakimi can always be called. The Madrid-born wing defender with Moroccan roots sees a return to his youth club as a serious option.
Hakimi was seven when he joined Real Madrid’s youth academy, but he made it to the top of football in a roundabout way. He was loaned to Borussia Dortmund for two years, then sold to Internazionale and resold by the Italians at a profit to Paris Saint-Germain. In between, the now 24-year-old right back became a supporting force for Morocco and he particularly excelled at the World Cup in Qatar.
At PSG, Hakimi still has an ongoing contract, but a return to Real Madrid can always be discussed. That says agent Alejandro Camaño in conversation with AS. “He has been away from Madrid for five years now, but as a youth player, Madrid has always been a home for him. The city and club are in his heart. If Real Madrid calls, we will of course listen,” Camaño remarked.
Yet Camaño also knows that Hakimi is also in the right place at PSG at the moment. “His heart speaks Real Madrid, but his colors are now those of PSG. That is our current project, that is what we are focusing on. They have put a lot of time and effort into him and so his thoughts are 100 percent with PSG. Except when Real Madrid calls,” he concluded.
