Quadruple winning teams: The current Manchester city squad has cemented themselves as one of the best teams in English football history by joining the list of treble winners in the sport. While, they are only the 2nd team in England to complete the continental treble, they are far the only teams to win four trophies in a season.
Hence, the topic for today would be a list of quadruple winning teams in football. The criteria would be for the side to win exactly four trophies in a single season, while playing in the top division of a nation’s league system. As usual we will take a closer look at a few of the most impressive teams among them.

Paris Saint-Germain 2014–15, 2015–16, 2017–18, 2019–20
Achieving a quadruple is an achievement that many top clubs could only dream of attaining. This PSG side, completed the feat four times in six seasons, including back to back quadruples. This is a testament of the level of dominance the Parisians had in French football. The trophies that contributed to this achievement are Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue.
-
Rangers 1929–30, 1933–34, 1975–76
With the level of dominance Celtic has in recent years, it might be easy to forget that Rangers are still the most decorated club in Scotland. The club completed the quadruple in the 1929–30, 1933–34 and 1975–76 seasons. The trophies that contributed to the achievements are Scottish Division One / Scottish Premier Division, Scottish Cup, Glasgow Cup, Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup (1929–30, 1933–34) / Scottish League Cup (1975–76).

Barcelona 2009–10, 2011–12, 2015–16
During the peak of Barcelona’s power in the early to mid 2010s the club won three quadruples. They won the Supercopa de España, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and La Liga in the 2009–10 season. In 2015–16 they lifted the Supercopa de España, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Copa del Rey trophies. Interestingly in the 2011–12 season they did ot win the La Liga. However, the Supercopa de España, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey trophies were enough to give them the honour.

Bayern Munich 2012–13, 2013–14, 2020–21
Bayern Munich is another club that has achieved a quadruple in back to back seasons. They repeated the feat in the 2020–21 season as well. To do so they lifted the DFL-Supercup, Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, UEFA Champions League in 2012–13. The following season they claimed the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal. This decade they topped it off by winning the UEFA Super Cup, DFL-Supercup, FIFA Club World Cup, Bundesliga trophies.
As odd as it may sound, more and more quadruples are being won in recent times than any part of history. This largely comes down to the fact that one or two clubs are able to dominate the division consistently. Therefore, there is a good chance these records will be broken often in the coming seasons. As long as stricter regulations enforce a more even share of resources.
