Samir Handanovic’s Internazionale career is over. The 38-year-old goalkeeper leaves Internazionale.
End of an era: Inter parts ways with club icon after eleven years
Handanovic lost his place under the crossbar to Andre Onana last season and so it was somewhat in line with expectations that he would leave Inter. After eleven years it is actually over for him, but it is not yet known where Handanovic will continue his career.
Handanovic became champion once with Inter, won the cup three times and won the Italian Super Cup. He played 455 games for the club. It is not yet clear who will be under the bar at Inter after this season, because Onana is about to make a transfer to Manchester United.
Yann Bisseck signs with Internazionale
Yann Bisseck will play for Internazionale in the coming seasons. The 22-year-old defender from Germany signed a contract until mid-2028.
Roda loaned Bisseck from FC Köln in the summer of 2020. Bisseck then played for Vitória Guimarães in Portugal and then signed with Aarhus in Denmark. Now Inter is going to run off with the German. His transfer was completed on Wednesday evening.
Bisseck already arrived in Milan on Monday and indicated that he was very happy with his new club. “I am ready. Yes, this is a dream come true,” said the German youth international, who was still captain of his country at the last European Under-21 Championship.
Bisseck’s contract contained a buyout fee of seven million euros and Inter has decided to pay it. Aarhus deposited just under 700,000 euros last summer to bring Bisseck to Denmark.
Rasmus Kristensen on his way to Serie A
Staying in Serie A Rasmus Kristensen faces a move to AS Roma. The former defender Leeds United will undergo a medical examination in the Italian capital on Friday, Sky Italia knows.
According to the Italian information, Kristensen is already in Rome, where he will undergo the usual tests on Friday morning. If no issues come to light, Roma will loan the Dane from Leeds United for one season. The clubs have now agreed on the conditions and Kristensen has already given his yes to I Giallorossi.
The now 26-year-old Kristensen played for Ajax for a year and a half between January 2018 and the summer of 2019. He failed to impress in Amsterdam and left for Red Bull Salzburg, where he again played in the spotlight. Roma also wanted Kristensen last year. Then, however, the Dane opted for an adventure in the Premier League, at Leeds United.
Kristensen played 26 league games in England last season, but could not prevent Leeds United from relegation. He will not go to the Championship: Kristensen will now end up at Roma. In Jose Mourinho’s team, he will be a competitor of Rick Karsdorp.
