Justin Kluivert will play in the Premier League next season. AFC Bournemouth officially announced the arrival of the Dutchman on Friday evening, who was reportedly taken over from AS Roma for around twelve million euros.
Bournemouth brings Kluivert to the Premier League
“Justin is an exciting and versatile attacker with a nose for goal. He is fast and has great technical qualities. Although he is only 24 years old, he already has a wealth of experience,” says managing director Neill Blake at the Bournemouth site.
He played for Valencia last season on a loan deal. In 29 official games at Los Che, the 24-year-old winger scored eight goals and two assists. The two-time international thus had an important share in the survival of the club from Orange City.
Before his time at Valencia, Patrick Kluivert’s son spent a year on loan at OGC Nice and six months at RB Leipzig. Kluivert played a total of 51 matches at Roma. The Italians took over the Dutchman from Ajax in 2018 for 17.25 million euros.
The winger is the fifth Dutchman ever at Bournemouth, after Lorenzo Davids, Frank Demouge, Nathan Aké and Arnaut Danjuma.
Chelsea reject United’s third offer: yet Mount’s transfer seems imminent
Chelsea have also rejected Manchester United’s third bid for Mason Mount. Although this proposal was presented by United as the final offer, a transfer is certainly not out of the question: the clubs are trying to find each other somewhere in the middle and it is expected that this will succeed.
The offer that United made on Friday was 64 million euros, according to The Athletic, plus seven million in possible bonuses. Chelsea has made a counter-proposal and is asking for more than 67 million euros and more than eight million in bonuses. The Blues have suggested going to the negotiating table with United in an attempt to reach an agreement.
There is hope for a quick solution. So that Mount does not have to miss the preparation for the new season and United’s first games. At Chelsea, Mount, a child of the club, has only one year left on his contract. The midfielder would personally already be around with United.
Mount played for Vitesse in the 2017/18 season. Mount was then loaned to Derby County before becoming a key player at the club of his dreams. He has made 195 appearances for Chelsea so far. Winning the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the European Super Cup.
