Zinedine Zidane was pleased to see Eden Hazard impress as Real Madrid made a winning comeback in La Liga.
“We knew Eden lacked a bit of rhythm to play the entire game. He played for an hour and also played well,” Zidane answered questions from the media.
Hazard was on the receiving end of several intense challenges and was substituted after 61 minutes, but head coach Zidane did not have major concerns.
He said that the Belgium star was even happy to experience some tough challenges:
“They gave him a nice knock, a scare, but that’s football. He said he was all right at the break, he was glad he was struck, so he wasn’t afraid. He’s pleased about everything he’s achieved and we’re glad, too.”
