Kylian Mbappe caught a late win, as France defeated hosts Croatia 1-2 at the Stadion Maksimir.
In the match, both teams were stuck in a 1-1 deadlock. With 11 minutes left, though, Mbappe struck to grab the points for France.
The world champions dominated the opening stages of the match. Through Antoine Griezmann, they took a significant lead eight minutes in.
Before the PSG forward somehow missed an open target, Kylian Mbappe and Anthony Martial combined.
In the first half, Croatia’s best chance fell to Mario Pasalic, but in a crowded field, he could not convert.
After the break, though, Zlatko Dalic’s men stayed in the ascension. They then levelled with 25 minutes remaining, courtesy of the driven finish of Nikola Vlasic.
