Achraf Hakimi made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain, albeit in an uncompetitive manner, in a 4-0 thrashing of Le Mans.
Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their pre-season with a 4-0 win over Le Mans.
This non-competitive match saw Achraf Hakimi starting and later, Mauro Icardi opened the scoring.
Wing-back Hakimi joined PSG from Inter after helping the Nerazzurri win Serie A last season (the football news).
Achraf Hakimi Made His Debut for Paris Saint-Germain
After varying transfer news football, Hakimi made his first unofficial start for PSG in a training ground match on Wednesday.
And the former Real Madrid youngster set up PSG’s second goal. He squared for Ismael Gharbi to sweep home from the centre of the area.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had taken the lead in the 12th minute against Le Mans. And Icardi was on hand to head home after the opposing goalkeeper had parried Julian Draxler’s cross into his path.
Curiously, Icardi scored 20 goals on loan from Inter in his first season, the 2019-2020 season, at PSG.
However, he failed to keep up that level of performance last season, scoring only 13 times.
Despite Icardi scoring a goal, Bandiougou Fadiga replaced him at halftime.
The latter then scored in the 87th minute to make it 3-0 before fellow substitute Xavi Simons completed the scoring.
