Friction at Inter: Brozovic is not served by Onana’s fierceness
Tempers ran equally high at Internazionale’s last training session before the Champions League match against Benfica. Goalkeeper Andre Onana targeted teammate Marcelo Brozovic.
Onana ended up in the middle during the rondo during the warm-up. While the media’s cameras were rolling, the ex-Ajax player fiercely pursued Brozovic while hunting. The 27-year-old Cameroonian kicked and pushed the 30-year-old Croat. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Romelu Lukaku, among others, did not hesitate and tried to keep the two apart.
Brozovic was clearly not happy with Onana’s fierce income just before such an important game. Inter will face Benfica at home on Wednesday evening in the return in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The Nerazzurri have a 2-0 lead in the diptych. Nicolò Barella and Lukaku scored last week in Lisbon for Inter, where Denzel Dumfries was a basic player and Stefan de Vrij came on.

Bayern’s mission to complete miracle
Bayern Munich faces a tough mission on Wednesday. The German top club must clear a 3-0 deficit to win a ticket to the semi-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City. In the run-up to the return there was good news for trainer Thomas Tuchel.
Bayern is not doing well at the moment. In the Bundesliga, it stumbles to the apotheosis of the title fight with Borussia Dortmund, while Tuchel’s team was eliminated in the cup tournament shortly after his appointment. In the billion dollar ball, it fell prey to Manchester City in the first leg of the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, it also had to deal with personnel problems.
Eric Choupo-Moting (34) was still missing at the Etihad Stadium due to a knee injury. The seasoned striker is Tuchel’s only real center attacker. The Cameroonian seemed to make his comeback last weekend, but suffered a setback. As a result, he missed the draw against Hoffenheim (1-1).
However, according to BILD, Tuchel has his striker back against City. Choupo-Moting was able to complete the full training with the group on Monday. Pain-free too, making him available for his trainer again.
The need is high at Bayern, because none of the attackers have scored since April 1. At the time it was Kingsley Coman who scored, but since then Der Rekordmeister had to rely on the whims of the rearguard. In contrast to the attackers, Dayot Upamecano, Benjamin Pavard and Matthijs de Ligt managed to score.
Because Bayern must score at least three times, Choupo-Moting’s return on Monday is a gift. He has already scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.
