Henrikh Mkhitaryan, an Arsenal loanee, admitted that he “wants to be in Roma for a few more years,” but also said that he would be “ready to play” if Mikel Arteta called him back to the Emirate Stadium.
“It’s up to the Arsenal and the Roma if they decide about conditions regarding transfer fee,” Mkhitaryan told on the Futbol podcast with Grant Wahl. “Of course, if I don’t stay at Roma, I have to go back to Arsenal. I don’t complain, so the football life changes so quickly that you have to be ready to play wherever you are.”
Regarding his own wishes, he said, “Of course, I’d like to be at Roma next season, not just this season [but] for a few of years. But I have a deal with Arsenal so it’s not up to me.”
