Joshua Kimmich, who has refused vaccination (the football news), did not exercise with Bayern Munich on Thursday as a precaution. After Niklas Sule and another defender tested positive (football today), Kimmich has missed Bayern’s training session on a COVID scare.
After testing positive for COVID-19, Niklas Sule withdrew from Germany’s squad to face Liechtenstein (football results) and Armenia (football scores).
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich player Joshua Kimmich has stated publicly that he has not yet got either dosage of his vaccine.
And he recently had to self-isolate, like Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala, after being in close proximity to Niklas Sule.
Due to such an increase in coronavirus instances, Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, and Jamal Musiala are all observing self-isolation at home.
Germany and Bayern Munich are separating these players, who are all unvaccinated, from the rest of the players, per Kicker.
Kimmich Has Missed Bayern’s Training Session on a COVID Scare
So much so, that Joshua Kimmich missed training with the Bundesliga giants on Thursday as a precautionary measure.
Julian Nagelsmann offered this update as the Bundesliga champions are awaiting the results of an unvaccinated Kimmich’s PCR test.
Thus, Bayern Munich are waiting to see if Joshua Kimmich, who was in close contact with someone who may have coronavirus (his Germany and Bayern teammate Niklas Sule), will be available to face Augsburg in a Bundesliga match of theirs on Friday.
Bayern Munich’s Josip Stanisic became the fourth player, and second defender after Sule, to test positive for COVID-19 this week.
And yesterday, on Wednesday, the Bavarian giants are claiming that the fully-vaccinated Croatia defender’s isolating at home but is “fine.”
