Federico Valverde will be out for a few weeks after a knee injury he suffered in Real Madrid’s latest match.
Los Blancos won an El Clasico football match 1-2 against Barcelona away, at Camp Nou on Sunday (the football news).
In the 72nd minute, Federico Valverde came on as a replacement for Real Madrid but didn’t last long.
We saw the Uruguayan injuring himself in a collision with Gerard Pique before he pulled himself out in stoppage time.
Valverde Will Be Out for a Few Weeks After a Knee Injury
Now, an AS report reveals, Federico Valverde has sustained a minor sprain and a thoracic contusion.
The 23-year-old will thus be on the sidelines for about 10 days as a result of the knock.
This development effectively rules him out of Real Madrid’s La Liga games against Osasuna and Elche.
He may also struggle to recover in time for the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on November 6.
So, for now, a return against Rayo Vallecano directly on November 6 looks more likely for Valverde.
Valverde posted on Twitter earlier on Monday, revealing: “Happy for the team that gave it their all and we took the three of us home, but sad for the blow that left me out of the fields for a few days.”
He has appeared in nine La Liga games this season, starting eight of them, and also three Champions League games.
