Atalanta has been asking about signing a 17-year-old Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito and the Nerazzurri want to keep a buy-back option.
Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia) claims that by securing a transfer, Atalanta aims to control the situation for the player (whether he stays or transfers).
Inter will not let one of their academy products go that easily, however, and are keen to retain an option for buy-back.
The Nerazzurri did the same when Andrea Pinamonti moved to Genoa, so it isn’t something unusual.
Esposito was linked to Hellas Verona and Benevento, but only for a loan. The young star has already turned down the San Siro contract extension, and is allegedly splitting up with his agent.
