Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea: Arsenal has once again won convincingly in the Premier League after a few difficult games. The dethroned leader returns to the top of England after the big victory over fellow townsman Chelsea. Chelsea again made little impression on Tuesday evening, Noni Madueke celebrated a personal success.
Arsenal will not be stopped by Madueke’s first goal in the hunt for Man City
The duel between Arsenal and Chelsea was a game between two teams that had not tasted the sweetness of victory for a long time. Arsenal lost points in four games in a row, at Chelsea it was a series of eight games. After the match in North London, the six-time champion has not won nine games in a row.
Arsenal made the difference early on. In the eighteenth minute Martin Ødegaard shot in beautifully via the underside of the crossbar, just over ten minutes later he hit the target after a low cross from the left. Gabriel Jesus was responsible for the 3-0 shortly afterwards after a messy situation. View all goals in this game at the bottom of the report.
Martin Ødegaard made his thirteenth and fourteenth goal in the Premier League this season.
It was another painful day of football for Chelsea, where manager Frank Lampard tried to provide new impetus with basic players Madueke and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. So this mission did not succeed, although Madueke scored his first goal in the Premier League in the second half. Then Aubameyang (ex-Arsenal) had already been substituted, he only had nine contacts in the first half, four of which came from a kick-off.
In the second half, despite Madueke’s goal, it never became a match again, substitute Hakim Ziyech couldn’t change that either.
