Bundesliga – Bayern vs Dortmund

Matchday 31
Predictions
As much as the German media might want you to believe this fixture is of crucial significance, realistically the title race is done. With that being said, the hosts are the favourites to win this fixture. However, I do not see them dominating this fixture and hence backed the visitors with an Asian handicap.
Both teams in this fixture are known for scoring plenty of goals. However, the average scoreline in the last four Bundesliga games at this venue is 3. While the average scoreline in the BVB’s previous 3 fixtures is 1.75. Hence do not expect a goalfest.

Pre match conference
Bayern Munich manager Julian Naglesmann: “(Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting) had back problems yesterday, but was involved again today. Lucas Hernandez is doing fine now. (Kingsley Coman) was having some ankle issues again — we’ll see how he is tomorrow and make a decision,” Nagelsmann said. “Omar Richards has a cold — all his tests have come back negative. Corentin Tolisso is out as you know, Bouna Sarr is also unavailable with a patella tendon issue. Leon Goretzka is back on board after his cold and has trained superbly.
“Some players have certainly gotten used to winning league title. But we still have a something to achieve. The players will be happy, I’m sure of that.
“I can imagine we have something planned. But first I’m focused on the job, the opponent. If we become champions, something will certainly also take place at Marienplatz. We have two very capable people in team management planning that.”
BVB coach Marco Rose: “I’m expecting us to be able to take the energy from that match with us. But this is a different challenge, a different opponent, a different quality and an away match. So there will be some resistance for us to overcome. We’ll need to produce a committed and courageous performance in Munich.
“They will play with this in mind. We want to stop it from happening. We played a good game last Saturday, we need to perform at an even higher level and consistently across the 90 minutes. It will be a case of defending against their offensive power but also being dangerous in attack ourselves and creating goalscoring opportunities.”
