Wales is determined to do well at the World Cup in Qatar, as a result, national coach Rob Page met with star player Gareth Bale, and the encounter had an unexpected effect. There is no such thing as a golf round.
In recent years, Bale has been known at Real Madrid as someone who would rather be on the golf course than on the football pitch. He was posing with a banner that read, ‘Wales, golf, Madrid, in that order,’ following an international match. It was an allusion to his main goals, which appeared to be entirely centred on his international job and hobbies.
And Page decided to approach his captain, who now plays for Los Angeles FC. The national coach stated in a press conference that Bale will not be able to play golf in Qatar. As a result, he had alerted the Real Madrid legend. “There is no freedom to play golf; we are there to do a task.”
Star player Gareth Bale is in good form
That job is called performance. Whereas in the past a round of nine holes was possible, this is no longer the case. “In the past, it was sometimes doable since there was a weeks-long preparation. We now have four days to get ready. The timetable is punishing. Everything should revolve around football. ‘It’s also for Gareth.”
Wales will open the World Cup against the United States on November 21. This is followed by meetings with Iran and England’s neighbour. Orange could be the opponent in the eighth finals, depending on their performance. By the way, Bale is in good form because he won the MLS play-off final last week with a late goal and a successful penalty shootout.
