West Ham United is an opponent to be reckoned with. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp points to a dangerous weapon from The Hammers.
Klopp knows West Ham is ‘really top, top, top’
“West Ham United are really top, top, top when it comes to set pieces,” Klopp said during the press conference before the game against The Hammers, who host Liverpool on Wednesday. “We have to be prepared for that. The ball will sometimes come to rest, so we have to be ready for that.”
Klopp avoids ‘disastrous’ title due to Moyes’ presence
The German manager followed developments at West Ham with extra interest, especially when there was talk of a change of guard as a solution to the lesser results. Klopp was happy that David Moyes was not a victim. “Because if they had sacked him I would have been the oldest manager in the Premier League. I wanted to avoid that,” he said with a smile.
Klopp, who is now the third oldest manager after Roy Hodgson’s return to Crystal Palace, sees that Moyes has got his team back on track. Klopp said, “He’s a super colleague, who does an incredible job. If they don’t get injured then they can really show such good football as they did last season. They have a super dangerous squad. We have to be absolutely top on Wednesday.”

Tottenham players come with a gesture towards fans after a bad performance
In other Premier League news, Tottenham Hotspur players went humiliated on Tuesday following the defeat against Newcastle United ( 6-1 ). Fans who witnessed their team’s failure in the north of England on Sunday will get their money back.
The players have announced this in a message addressed to the traveling supporters. They announced, “As a team, we understand your frustration and anger. It wasn’t good enough. We know that words alone are not enough in situations like this, but trust us, defeat like this hurts. We appreciate your support, home and away. And that’s why all Spurs fans who were present in St. James’ Park on Sunday will get their ticket money back.”
“We know that this does not change what happened on Sunday,” Spurs said in a statement. “We want to give everything to put things right against Manchester United on Thursday evening. Even then your support is very important to us. Together – and only together – we can move forward.”
With Ryan Mason as his temporary replacement on the bench, Spurs will have to put up a good result against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United on Thursday to not fall further behind in the battle for a place in the top four. Otherwise it will be a lost season for the club that has been pining for a prize for fifteen years. Antonio Conte was also unable to end that drought and was fired after a heated press conference.
