Quique Setien, former head coach of Barcelona, is unable to reach an agreement with Barca over compensation for his dismissal.
According to Cadena Ser, Barcelona have spent a lot of money on such payments in recent years.
The resignation of Ernesto Valverde, who was replaced by Setien, cost the club €11m.
The current coach Ronald Koeman, who had worked for the Dutch national team, had to pay €5m to the country’s Football Federation.
And 62-year-old specialist Setien is demanding four million euros from the Catalan club.
Barcelona don’t want to pay Setien this compensation, as they believe he has failed to live up to expectations and deliver on promises related to the team’s performance.
