Barcelona’s head coach Quique Setien has been talking to Arthur Melo about the future of the midfielder, but is counting on him for the rest of the season.
“I prefer not to speak out about the rumors”- Setien declined to discuss rumours about the long-term future of the 23-year-old at Camp Nou.
“It’s true we’ve talked about something, but not too much,” Setien told reporters at his pre-match media conference on Friday when asked about Arthur. “The current circumstances vary from the usual circumstances, and will affect the market.”
However, he still made it clear that he remains part of his plans before returning to the action of La Liga: “As for the team, I’m sure that I rely on all those who are already in the squad and I need everyone because there will be a number of games.”
Arthur himself recently made his intention to remain back in April with Barcelona well known. He had recently been proposed as a potential option for Inter.
