At the same time, Italian national team boss, Roberto Mancini, has declared his confidence in his own team. He has also gauged the threat that Spain pose, though.
“Luis Enrique is a very good coach,” Mancini told UEFA’s official website. “He won the Champions League with Barcelona, his Roma also played very well. When a coach manages to put on a good game, it shows his skill, regardless of the results achieved.”
“Spain has created a tiki-taka and has had incredible success with it,” Mancini said about Spain’s playing style. “It continues to use it at a high level.”
However, he went on to say: “But we possess the ball a little bit differently. We are Italians and cannot suddenly turn into Spaniards. We will try to play our own way.”
“Busquets and Jorginho are definitely among the best players in their roles,” Mancini then said, elaborating on his players’ form.
“Busquets has been playing beautifully for years, he’s more experienced than Jorginho. But Jorginho is also among the best, given his level of play now.”
“Spinazzola was one of the best players in our team,” he concluded, finally. “He was the best left-back at the Euros. He will be with us when we take to the pitch.”
