In Spain’s top-flight, Barcelona were pegged back late to draw with Osasuna 2-2 at the El Sadar Stadium on Sunday. So, among last night’s La Liga football results, Osasuna drew 2-2 at home with Barcelona with a late hail Mary.
So, though Nico Gonzalez and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli scored their first career goals to bring Barca up 1-2, Osasuna equalized later.
Curiously, Gonzalez’s and Ezzalzouli’s goals mark the first time this century that Barca have had two different players under the age of 20 score in the same La Liga season.
La Liga Football Results – Osasuna Drew 2-2 at Home with Barcelona
Gonzalez and Ezzalzouli entered the Barca squad after they lost to Bayern Munich and crashed out of the Champions League.
After these football scores on Wednesday, yesterday, in the domestic league’s football match, there was an early flurry of goals.
In fact, Gonzalez scored for Barcelona after just 12 minutes of the game starting. The 19-year-old reached a one-on-one with goalkeeper Sergio Herrera and calmly slotted the ball into the net thereupon.
Barca’s lead didn’t last long, though, as it took Osasuna just two minutes to score a 1-1 equaliser. The home side won a free-kick, which Garcia headed into the net.
The rest of the first half then continued quietly without many chances cropping up for either side.
However, the match burst into life again four minutes into the second half when Ezzalzouli put Barca ahead again.
Xavi’s side caught Osasuna on the counter-attack. But while Garcia got a foot to the ball in the box he only (accidently) flicked it toward Ezzalzouli. And the latter smashed it into the roof of the net for Barcelona’s second lead.
It looked like Barca had done enough to secure the win. But Avila scored a late goal in the 85th minute to give Osasuna a draw. The striker secured the ball from a corner and powered into the net.
