Lukaku moved on a football transfer from Inter Milan to Chelsea this summer, returning to West London after an eight-year absence.
He returned to England to become Chelsea’s number 9 at Stamford Bridge for a €115-million transfer fee (the football news).
The Premier League giants had been in talks with the Serie A champions for a long time. And finally, the Blues have signed the 28-year-old to a contract extension until June 2026.

However, Inter Milan rejected three of Chelsea’s offers for Romelu Lukaku, which forced the Belgian star to finally intervene.
He then asked his Italian Serie A defending winner club upfront to allow him to return to London, to Chelsea.
“With Chelsea’s third offer, I knew it was serious and I wasn’t there anymore,” Lukaku told Hln.be.
“Chelsea offered €110m plus Zappacosta, but Inter said no, so I went to [Simone] Inzaghi’s office asking to find an agreement.
“I told Inzaghi: ‘Inter pulled me out of s… but I wanna leave only because of Chelsea.”
Romelu Lukaku joined the Nerazzurri for €75 million from Manchester United.
And during his two-year stint at Inter, Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games. And to show for his time in Milan, he also won one Serie A title, from the latest 2020-21 season.
On August 22, he scored his first goal, after his comeback, for Chelsea in a 2-0 win over Arsenal.
