Diario Sport have reported that Barcelona have shown interest in three players from the same Premier League club. After refusing to swap Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the first one of the following three players in football transfer news, Barcelona want to sign Manchester City trio Raheem Sterling, Ferran Torres and Bernardo Silva.
While Manchester City have put a price tag on Raheem Sterling, the Blaugrana had been hoping for a football transfer.
As for Bernardo Silva, we understand that the Portugal man has previously openly wished for a move to La Liga.
And suggestions now say this is still his desired destination and further that Barcelona are the favourites to sign him.
In further favour of the potential move, we feel that Silva’s style of play suits that of Camp Nou perfectly.
But whether or not Barcelona can actually secure any of the three targets’ signature from Manchester City is another question.
Football Transfer News – Barcelona Want to Sign Manchester City Trio
Barcelona CEO Mateu Alemany is allegedly already in Manchester to discuss these three transfer possibilities in the January transfer window.
Alemany is checking whether there is any room for maneuver for Sterling, but the latter’s impressive recent performances won’t help.
In the case of Silva, City might try to command a fee that Barcelona will be hard pressed to afford.
Though Barcelona wish to take the England international on loan, Manchester City now won’t allow that to happen with ease. They won’t agree to a deal unless there is an obligation for the Catalan club to sign Sterling permanently after.
Finally, the report dismisses Ferran Torres as even more unviable to arrive at Camp Nou than the Sterling deal.
However, Spanish daily AS is stating that the Spain international is actually one of Barcelona’s higher priorities.
In fact, AS claims that the Catalan club are going all in to sign him without contemplating any Plan B.
