Lionel Messi is a doubt for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night. After suffering a pair of minor injuries, among other Group A news in football today, Messi may not play against RB Leipzig tomorrow.
Due to muscle soreness during PSG’s Ligue 1 match against Lille on Friday night, Messi quit the pitch at halftime.
When their best player had to suffer substitution, they trailed 1-0 in the match. But goals from Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria eventually handed them all three points in the second half.
On Sunday, Messi did not train with the rest of the team, instead of working with a physiotherapist.
And Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly hesitant to risk the striker against Leipzig, especially given PSG’s excellent position in Group A.
