Chelsea is reportedly seeking a double swoop on the Bundesliga by signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, even as they finalize an agreement with Timo Werner.
After triggering the £53.8 m release clause in his RB Leipzig deal, the Blues are rumored to have already reached personal terms with Werner. Chelsea has now set its sights on getting in young Leverkusen attacker Havertz according to the Daily Mail.
Havertz has recently become the first Bundesliga player to achieve 35 goals before the age of 21, and is also believed to be a target for Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
For the 20-year-old, who has a combined 22 goals and assists in 38 appearances this term, it is claimed that Frank Lampard’s side will have to hand over around £75 m.
