As they want to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window, Chelsea can spend up to £200m on transfers.
Andreas Christensen and N’Golo Kanté are likely to extend their existing contracts with Chelsea soon. Meanwhile, Thiago Silva has already agreed to extend his deal with the Blues.
Chelsea will also want to continue with Antonio Rüdiger, but there has been little progress in negotiations so far.
But now, let’s look at the new potentially inbound players that the London club has an eye on.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel wants the club to sign a striker, a midfielder and at least one defender.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues are interested in signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Inter forward Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea are also considering the option of buying Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in this summer transfer window.
Tuchel is also interested in another Borussia Dortmund player – midfielder Jonas Hofmann.
Furthermore, Tuchel opines that getting Wolverhampton midfielder Adama Traore to Chelsea would increase competition on the right wing.
Tuchel also has a keen interest in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, who remains a mystery option with Chelsea. They have not yet asked for him, and there’s no saying if they will enter into talks with the Hammers.
In any case, Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni seems like a cheaper alternative for Rice, Hammers’ star midfielder.
Chelsea Can Spend Up to £200m on Transfers
The Londoners have told Chelsea coach Tuchel that he can spend up to £200m on these purchases this summer, in new football updates.
Following their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League final, Tuchel met club owner Roman Abramovich on Saturday. (Chelsea won after a singular goal from Kai Havertz, which goes against our prediction of the final match.)
They met again on Sunday morning to discuss changes in the squad and the German outlined his vision for Abramovich.
The new Blues manager said that he wanted to build an empire at Chelsea, which includes making new player signings.
The outcome of the talks between Tuchel and Abramovich has reportedly been “positive”.
