Amos Pieper, who came through the youth ranks of Borussia Dortmund, the German signed for Arminia Bielefeld in 2019. After a successful stint in the German second division last season, Pieper has now signed for newly promoted Werder Bremen on a free.
This was confirmed by the club through a statement. “At the age of 24, Amos already has experience from more than 100 professional games. And has already gained experience in the Bundesliga for more than two years. We assume that he will be able to help us immediately and we are pleased that he has decided to join Werder despite other opportunities,” explained Clemens Fritz, head of scouting and professional football at Werder Bremen.
Head coach Ole Werner, glad about the new signing: “Amos is physically strong, has a good opening and brings good headers. He has already proven that he can stand his ground in the Bundesliga.”

There’s no catch. What the club intends for me, what sporting perspectives there are here. That appealed to me from the start and gave me a very good feeling. That’s why I chose Werder. In addition, the pictures of the promotion and what was going on in Bremen further strengthened my decision.”
