AC Milan 2-1 Spezia: For the first time in history, a Maldini scored against AC Milan: Daniel Maldini posed as a Spezia mercenary to his father. We could joke about it because it did not result in a loss of points.
Paolo Maldini naturally spent his entire career with Milan, while his father Cesare Maldini faced the club where he became an icon four times. The defence, however, never scored against Milan. Daniel Maldini, the youngest Maldini offspring, is an offensive player who scored his first goal against Milan in a contest that ended AC Milan 2-1 Spezia.
Before the game against Spezia, Milan coach Stefano Pioli had a premonition. “I knew he’d play, and I had a feeling he’d score.” The coach believes Milan’s technical director, Paolo Maldini, enjoyed it. “It was the perfect evening for Paolo.’ His son scored, but Milan prevailed.’
Daniel Maldini would have preferred a different outcome. “It’s a shame my first goal in San Siro didn’t lead to a point or a victory. We played well but gave up a late goal.” Maldini scored his first Serie A goal for Milan against Spezia, the team that has hired him from Milan this season.
Milan rejoined leader Napoli with the victory, although the Milanese still face Cremonese and Fiorentina before the World Cup begins.
Bologna 2-1 Torino
Meanwhile, in Emilia-Romagna, the hosts came back from a goal down to win by a single goal. Pietro Pellegri, of Torino, made his shortest appearance ever. The 21-year-old Italian was wounded just seconds after the game began in Serie A against Bologna.
Pellegri raced forward after the kick-off and slid so badly when applying pressure that he injured his ankle. He had to give up the fight after three seconds. After the fastest injury in a Serie A game, the star was replaced by Yann Karamoh.
Pellegri was well-known for his abilities. In January 2018, AS Monaco paid more than twenty million euros to get him from Genoa. At the age of 19, the attacker earned his debut for the Italian national team in November 2020. However, due to injuries, his progress has been halted. Pellegri has scored one for Torino this season in Serie A.
