David Moyes hopes to utilise West Ham United’s superior experience over AZ in the Conference League semi-finals.
Moyes acclaims the Dutch system and is careful about ‘hungry’ AZ
Kurt Zouma is in all probability missing from The Hammers because of a lower leg injury. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow and then we’ll make a decision,” Moyes said of his central defender at the press conference in London. “Good chance the game comes too early.”
When asked what the final would mean to him, Moyes stated, “For any team, to reach a final is always a big thing. It was perfect to be in the elimination rounds last season. We did a great job this season to reach the semifinals once more. We hope to advance one step and make the final.”
Despite the significant financial disparities, Moyes refused to declare West Ham the clear favourite against AZ. We hold a great deal of respect for AZ and their play. They’re having an extraordinary season. As a result, it will be a formidable rival. Any Dutch group you play against is in every case great. They always have well-trained, competitive football teams. Thus, it will be challenging for us,” he stated.
“I already knew something about them, their club model, and their way of training”
The West Ham scouts didn’t have much trouble finding AZ. “I already knew something about them, their club model, and their way of training,” Moyes asserts. They have numerous promising young players. They follow the Moneyball rule. If it works for your club, that is a nice structure. Against Lazio, I saw two more youngsters who played. They have a great deal of fabulous gifts. That is characteristic of Dutch football. Acquiring capable players.”
“Perhaps we are the top picks, however we are playing against a youthful, hungry rival,” the Scottish mentor finished up. ” Naturally, we have a lot more experience than AZ. We need to utilise that. so that we can get off to the best possible start.”
Bowen, an attacker for West Ham, does not fall into the previous trap. In contrast to his trainer, Attacker Jarrod Bowen kept his mouth shut when it came to the opponent.
At the press conference prior to the Conference League semi-final, Bowen stated, “Sunday’s result was obviously very important for the whole club and gives us a lot of confidence going into Thursday’s game.”
Bowen replied, “I’m not going to lie,” when asked about his knowledge of AZ. “I won’t say that I already knew everything there was to know about them. However, we’ve completed our work. We have observed them. To get here, they beat big clubs. We are aware that it will be difficult.”
