Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has insisted that while the uncertainty about his future begins to gather momentum, he is content at Old Trafford.
“You were waiting for this one, weren’t you?” Pogba told Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport’s YouTube channel.
Mino Raiola, the agent of the midfielder, recently insisted that his client will not negotiate contract extensions.
Pogba, however, has indicated that he is open to staying at Old Trafford as, after apparently surviving a tough time, he is ‘enjoying himself.’
“I’m under contract, I’m here. I’m enjoying myself. I’m here. Everybody knows I have one year left and I speak with the club and see what’s going on,” he said.
“As I say, now, my objective, my goal is to win something. That’s all I’m thinking about is to win. Bring all my energy, give my best to help the team the most I can and to win something. That’s all I’m focusing on. The contract, that’s not important, it’s to win.”
The 27-year-old contract is set to expire in June 2022.
