Parma will make available a special edition shirt to commemorate Gianluigi Buffon’s Serie A debut, in their club stores. After the football news of the goalkeeper opening a goalkeeping training academy and then making a football transfer from Juventus to Parma at the age of 43 years, and finally making his second debut for Parma (football match), now, Parma will release a special jersey honoring Buffon’s 1995 debut.
Gianluigi Buffon made this debut jersey 26 years ago. And now that he is back in Serie B at the Stadio Tardini, Parma are releasing the shirt again.
Back then, after the first-choice goalkeeper underwent a suspension, Buffon was an unexpected selection to face Fabio Capello’s AC Milan.
In the 0-0 tie, the 17-year-old goalie succeeded in preserving a clean sheet, and the GOAT’s career began.
That happened on November 19, 1995 and the moment will now be commemorated.
