Weston McKennie called the United States President Donald Trump him a “racist” and “ignorant”.
“I am sure he doesn’t realize his responsibilities to the nation. I consider him totally ignorant. I’m not supporting him at all. I don’t think he’s a man of his word,” McKennie told Sport Bild.
The Schalke midfielder has been the current American star to be critical of Trump.
“In my mind I consider him as a racist,” he said. “I don’t think Trump is the best guy for the presidential position.”
