Former Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch believes the Merseysiders will fight for the English title this season.
Crouch told BT Sport: “I think Liverpool are still in the race for the title. They have top players. Henderson’s transfer to the centre of defence yesterday is something fantastic. It will be difficult at times because Nathaniel Phillips will be out. Liverpool do have problems in that area, but with such talent in attack they cannot be written off.”
“I believed that back when they were going through a bad period. Last night Rio Ferdinand and I made a little bet. I still think Liverpool will be above Manchester United at the end of the season,” he said.
