Aston Villa is reportedly set to offer a lucrative new deal to Jack Grealish.
In the most recent season, Grealish captained Villa to Premier League survival, and scored eight goals and six assists along the way.
Grealish’s new contract with Dean Smith’s side is set to expire in the summer of 2023, but the article suggests that Villa will try to lock down their captain for another two years, until 2025.
Nonetheless, notes that Villa is preparing to raise Grealish’s salary from £70k a week to £100k a week.
This is par of their effort to keep the Englishman on the Villa Park books, and to fend off interest from Manchester United.
Indeed, there has been much speculation of a possible move to Man United.
The Red Devils, however, are thought to give priority to a bid for Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, and will, therefore, wait a while before determining whether to swoop for Grealish or not.
