Chelsea season 2023–24 Preview: Last season Chelsea lost their most successful owner. However, expectations over the club, if anything, increased with new owners at the helm. Largely, thanks to the historic transfer window they completed.
To add to that, the club also appointed a Premier League proven young manager. The club also spent big money in the winter transfer window. All things considered, to mention Chelsea had an extremely disappointing season would be an understatement.
Chelsea season 2023–24 squad
Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovačić, Édouard Mendy, Kai Havertz, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Derrick Abu, Prince Adegoke, Tiémoué Bakayoko, Nathan Baxter, Juan Castillo, Bryan Fiabema, Joe Haigh, N’Golo Kanté, Henry Lawrence, Sam McClelland, Xavier Simons, Dujon Sterling, Silko Thomas, Sami Tlemcani, Ethan Wady, Jayden Wareham, Mason Mount and César Azpilicueta are the players that chelsea have parted ways with at the time of writing.
On the other hand, they have acquired the services of Nicolas Jackson, Alex Matos, Diego Moreira, Christopher Nkunku and Dujuan Richards.
Furthermore, the club is linked with full backs Ishé Samuels-Smith and Tino Livramento. Midfielders Rayan Cherki and Gabri Veiga are also on the club’s radar. However, Moisés Caicedo remains the footballer that seems the closest to completing a transfer to Stamford Bridge. ngelo, Yunus Musah, Aymeric Laporte and Khéphren Thuram are the other names doing the rounds in the rumour mills.

Considering the quality at the disposal of Pochettino and the club’s performance last season, it seems impossible to predict where Chelsea will end up this season. However, with the manner they fell last season, completing in a Champions League spot would be a massive success for the club.
