Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shared his thoughts on reaching the top of the table in EPL.
“We have a test ahead of us in a match against a champion which is unbelievable. It’s a great test for us,” Solskjaer said to BBC.
On the 1-0 win over Burnley that got them to the top, he said: “We feel very confident before matches like this. We are doing great on the road. You need to believe in yourself and we do. We have done a great job, now we have a good stretch.”
“I am very satisfied. Always when you get three points, you are happy. We had to fight and earn them and we did that,” he said.
“Calmness and composure were the key to this game. We didn’t play well in the first half hour, but then VAR breathed life into us. At times we were too hot.
“Harry Maguire’s goal was perfect and I can see why the lads got angry. I had to calm them down at half-time. I didn’t see the episode [in the 27th minute], probably the referee decided correctly because he went to watch the episode. And the cancelled goal was a mistake, let’s be honest.
“Pogba scored a top goal, great execution and style. Paul played really well today. It would have been easier if we had scored the second one as well, but we are not looking for easy ways.”
