Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped to third place in the ratings for FIFA 22, listing this year’s top-22 players. Meanwhile, following his transfer to PSG, Lionel Messi has retained his best player in the world status on FIFA 22. So, though Ronaldo may have made a more popular football transfer this summer, Lionel Messi is still the best player in FIFA 22 ratings.
Lionel Messi has received a rating higher than that of Cristiano Ronaldo and that of Robert Lewandowski in FIFA 22.
Lionel Messi Is Still the Best Player in FIFA 22 Ratings
So, Lionel Messi has, yet again, claimed the title of best player in the world yet again, for FIFA 22 ratings.
The former Barcelona legend has maintained his 93 overall ratings even since he joined Paris Saint-Germain this summer transfer window.
At the same time, Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped from 92 to 91 after leaving Juventus to rejoin Manchester United.
Simultaneous to this, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski’s rating increased from 91 to 92, which has pushed CR7 into third place.
And, in further contention, Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Jan Oblak have received the same rating as Ronaldo. So, they’re all tied for third place with 91 points.
EA Sports has only ranked four other players in the 90s, including Premier League heavyweights Harry Kane and N’Golo Kante.
German stoppers Manuel Neuer and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are also two of the rare players receiving a 90+ rating.
EA Sports say of their ratings: “The Ratings Collective is a talent scouting network with a passion for The World’s Game.
“From sprint speed to finishing, passing accuracy to stamina, they meticulously watch what happens on the pitch to assess, judge, and evaluate players across more than 30 attributes that define a footballer’s skill level.
“Their assessments come together to create the FIFA Ratings – the authoritative ranking of over 17,000 players’ footballing ability.”
