Early Premier League Predictions: 9/10
Newcastle United to make the push for European football
Eddie Howe took a demoralised Newcastle United team who looked certain to suffer relegation to the top half of the toughest league in the world. Sure, he was helped by a few overpaid world class signings. However, the club have done more business in this transfer window and are linked with a number of ballers as well.
With only Liverpool and Manchester City having gained more points in the Prem since New Year last season; the club has already shown the division how dominant they could be. With such positive signs around the club, the club will certainly push for a top six finish this season and I would put my money on the Magpie to get it done.
Early Premier League Predictions: 10/10
The decline of Leicester City
The Foxes ever since winning the 2015–16 Premier League title have established themselves as a staple in the top half of the Premier League. However, the club over the last few seasons have shown the inability to achieve a top four finish. The club has certainly been unlucky with fitness issues. And a rather slim and ageing squad has not helped their cause.
The club has brought in young players who are capable of replacing the experienced players. However, the likes of Schmeichel and Vardy as we have seen recently are slowing down. And unfortunately this season might be the one. Where see the “The Unbelievables” suffer a fall from their era of top flight stability.
