Chelsea’s number 9 curse to continue
Following two impressive seasons with Inter Milan Romelu Lukaku made the return to English football for an eye watering transfer fee. However, the Belgian failed to find the back of the net as you would expect from a player of such a price tag.
With that being said, it is the case of Chelsea forwards that have come and gone over the past few seasons. With the previous player for the Blues who scored more than 15 goals being Eden Hazard in his last season at the Bridge. Furthermore only Mount in the last season and Abraham two seasons earlier have managed to hit double figures in a league season since Hazard.
With the departure of Lukaku, I do not see any current players. Or Chelsea’s targets managing to score over ten goals.

Jack Grealish failing to break into City’s starting XI
With rumours linking Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva to moves away from the club. And with the likes of De Bruyne, Mahrez and Gündoğan progressing into their 30s. Grealish should find it easier than ever to find game time this season. Att the Etihad after a rather slow start to life.
However, it was evident that Jack Grealish found Guardiola’s style of play extremely difficult. Having failed to play 2000 league minutes last season, things are unlikely to change this time around.
