Andre Zambo Anguissa laughed at the speculations that linked him to Real Madrid, dismissing the possibility of an unlikely summer transfer.
“Oh, oh, no, I have nothing to confirm,” he told Canal+ Sport Afrique. “I am not someone who is reading rumors or listening to them.”
The former Marseille player is actually under contract with Fulham but has spent the last season on loan at Villarreal, where his success has caught teams’ attention.
Indeed, he has performed so well, he has been named as a possible addition to Zinedine Zidane’s squad by several representatives of the local press.
Nonetheless, the strong 24-year-old appears to know little about such rumours and insists no discussion has been made about a possible move.
“I can’t claim there was any contact with anyone. I’d be lying to you,” he continued. “We have a contract between my agent and I. He controls all about me so I’m only focusing on the field. We’ll be keeping stock of where we’re at the end of the season to see if there’s anything important.”
