Espanyol forward Wu Lei is discussing a possible transfer to the Wolverhampton Wanderers side of the Premier League, Marca reports.
The Chinese Player of the Year, Lei’s deal with Espanyol lasts until December 31, 2020.
In January 2019, Espanyol paid € 2 million to buy Wu Lei from Shanghai SIPG and his appearance allowed the club to increase significantly in China, while LaLiga also profited from this development on the Asian market.
Wu Lei scored seven goals for Espanyol this season in 38 games.
His initial plan for this year was to continue at the club regardless of whether Los Periquitos continues to live in LaLiga Santander or whether they are relegated to LaLiga SmartBank.
Indeed, Wu Lei’s aim in the rest of this campaign is to give his all so that Espanyol can stay in the top Spanish flight, with the Catalan side currently having six safety points with 11 matches to go in LaLiga Santander.
Now, these plans have had doubts thrown at them.
