Willian has committed to a three-year deal at Arsenal, sources have told.
With the deal valued at about £100,000 a week, the transfer to Arsenal is now set to be confirmed later this month.
Over the weekend, the player must make an official decision on his future. The 22-year-old is still involved in transferring to Arsenal while Everton and Napoli are both interested.
Indeed, William’s agent Kia Joorabchian said his client had five clubs involved in signing him, including two in the Premier League last week.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old has been in negotiations with Chelsea about a new deal but will soon end his seven-year relationship with the club, because they were unable to give him the terms he desired.
Blues head coach Frank Lampard wanted Willian to remain, and forced the team to pursue a solution in the months-long deadlocked talks.
Sources, however, also told ESPN that Lampard has failed to convince the Chelsea management to seek a new deal for Willian.
Instead, Mikel Arteta has stepped in to protect the midfielder who captured two league titles at Chelsea and the Europa League.
