Watford has confirmed on Tuesday that over the past two days three individuals at the club have tested positive for coronavirus.
“The Watford Football Club announces that three individuals have been testing positively for the Covid-19 virus during the past 48 hours after checking at the training ground.” the club said in a statement.
“Of these three positive tests, one is a player and two are staff members. All three have requested that medical confidentiality be respected and so the club will not name those involved,” another statement read. “All three will self-isolate for seven days-in keeping with the procedures set out in the rules of the Premier League before being re-tested at a later date.”
The Premier League thus announced that six positive COVID-19 findings have emerged from a total of 748 checks conducted on Sunday and Monday to players and club workers.
Then, on the same night (on Tuesday), the club itself revealed that one player and two staff members at Watford had tested positive and would continue self-isolation.
