Real Madrid center-back Raphael Varane says he really doesn’t know when the training will resume.
“There’s no return date right now,” Varane told the French Football Federation in a birthday phone call after turning 27 on April 25. “We’ll see what happens with trainings and games when we come back to Real. We’re living day-to-day at the moment.”
The World Cup champion appears to have a positive outlook of isolation, taking advantage of the chance to practice and spend time with his children. “It’s true because you should focus on something you don’t have time to do in regular daily life.” the defender added. “You should concentrate harder on the weak points. I spend more time with my family. There are people working in hospitals and putting their life at risk so I can’t complain.”
Spain has been under a tight lockout like other countries and it has seriously affected the sporting calendar.
