Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier is expected to pay a fine of £140,000 for breaking the lockout rules for the third time.
Aurier played 33 times in all Tottenham competitions this season, recording two goals and seven assists.
The right-back has recently come under fire again after sharing a video of him and his barber on Instagram, but Aurier has defended his decision to go out to get a haircut.
Aurier has actually often been in the headlines for flouting the recommendations for social distancing in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, with the Ivorian forced to apologize after training with teammate Moussa Sissoko.
However, according to The Sun, Tottenham are not taking the matter lightly and are prepared to hand over a heavy fine to the defender.
The report argues that the manager’s side is worried for the credibility of the defender as well as the club’s after a series of cases involving lock-down infringements.
A one-on-one training session was previously held with Tanguy Ndombele, Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon.
