Neapolitan centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly has recently been vetted fiercely by three established clubs- Manchester Unites, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain. Now, it is said that Manchester United has secured him.
Koulibaly has scored 10 goals in 233 Italian team appearances in all competitions since he arrived from Genk in 2014. Because of the deserved attention that this has earned him, Napoli is said to have resigned to losing Koulibaly when the transfer window reopens. And for this very reason, Gunnar Solskjaer could face stiff competition for the 28-year-old’s signature.
According to La Repubblica, Man City and PSG are squarely in the hunt to sign Koulibaly, who made 15 Series A appearances for Napoli during the injury-hit 2019-20 campaign. The center-back has been closely linked to the move to Old Trafford in the last few months, with recent reports suggesting that Manchester United has also been given the green light to the Senegal international for a £74 m move.
Only time will tell if the United successfully manage to secure Koulibaly.
