The FIGC has announced that Serie A clubs can make up to five substitutions for the remainder of the season.
A statement released by the FIGC added teams were still limited to three intervals, excluding half-time, for making substitutions per match according to.
In the event that both teams simultaneously change players, it will count as one of their three intervals.
On the other hand, a fourth interval will be awarded to clubs to make a substitution in ties to Coppa Italia, which will go into extra time.
The move comes as part of the International Football Association Board (IFAB)’s a provisional new ruling intended to help sides restart their respective campaigns following the shutdown of coronaviruses.
