Argentinian retired player Lionel Scaloni feels that if Inter striker Lautaro Martinez goes to Barcelona, he ‘would have to sacrifice himself’.
“He has to self-sacrifice. The coach must find a way to make him a player if he wants to get to Barcelona,” Scaloni told Radio La Red.
The 22-year-old has been linked in recent months with a transfer to the Catalan giants.
However, the Argentina coach has said that the most crucial thing for the former Racing Club sensation is to ‘play regularly’:
“I want Lautaro Martinez to play regularly, but since he’s young and plays for the others too, he should gain a place in the squad.”
Scaloni has also told Lautaro that he would have to lay down the initiative to claim a starting place at Camp Nou.
