As Paris Saint-Germain seeks to fend off competition in the signing of the star of France, Kylian Mbappe has received praise from surprising quarters- from Louis Saha.
“He’s fully controlling his own destiny,” Saha told Stats Perform News (via Goal).
The rumour of Real Madrid’s interest in him existed for the longest time, while Liverpool has also been proclaimed as a potential future club for the former player of Monaco.
Saha understands why such talk has endured, especially given that Mbappe only has two years left on his contract:
“I think that at some stage, when you’re in a club like Paris that’s still growing, that’s not at the level of Real, Barca or other clubs like Juventus, it’ll eventually stay a story, without disrespecting the team.
Salah went on to shower Mbappe with praise:
“As long as a new contract is not signed it will always remain a rumour. He is a great player, he has to deal with it.”
“At his young age he’s already a man. He’s really smart, he understands what he needs. He’s not afraid and that’s to his advantage.”
“I think he’s an outstanding player who thinks of the biggest teams, which is natural. He is the world’s most valuable player.”
“So, dreaming about things that other people or players wouldn’t understand is normal to him.”
Naturally then, Mbappe will want to make the most of his talent, in Paris or anywhere else.
