Athletic Bilbao announced that Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs will be the latest winner of their prestigious ‘One-Club Man’ award.
The award, which was created in 2015, “rewards players whose paths represent values that Athletic Club considers attached to their identity within a single team”.
In doing so, he also praised the career of the long-serving Red, and his enduring loyalty to his club.
Indeed, Giggs has shown loyalty, dedication, responsibility, sportsmanship and appreciation during his 23-year tenure at United, which featured an impressive 963 appearances.
After his retirement from playing in May 2014 Giggs is a manager of the Welsh national team.
Ryan is supposed to make a trip to Bilbao to receive the prize, in the near future, if possible.
