While Juventus has recently emerged as a favourite for Paul Pogba, Real Madrid remains a potential destination for Pogba.
However, former German international and ex-Real Madrid player Uli Stielike has suggested that the Bernabeu should not consider signing the France international.
While United has the option to extend Pogba’s contract after 2021, it remains unclear whether club officials will choose to enforce that clause. The 27-year-old has made just eight appearances in all this season’s competitions.
It is thus likely that he may move to another high-profile club.
But Stielike, who represented Los Blancos between 1977 and 1985, feels that the winner of the World Cup isn’t ‘humble enough’ for the Spanish giants to play for.
”If you want to return to the idea of the Galacticos, maybe yes, but I am more in favour of humble players with great talent and sacrifice for the team,” the 65-year-old said.
